Yes, I know, it’s been almost a week but I’m still going to tell you about our wonderful Easter celebration.
I seriously loved decorating our table and thought ahead and planned out what it would look like and everything. See the eggs and Easter baskets
I made? Yes, I did tell everyone that the Easter Bunny came to our house for them because I’m a grown up like that. Problem was, I didn’t completely think through the fact that we only can fit six people at our table and there were going to be nine here.
That problem was easily solved when Nate ran to work to grab a table and chairs. Since it was so warm out we just set the table up in our backyard and called it good. I pulled out our outdoor table cloth and my flowers and thought it looked simple but great.
I’ve decided that people don’t like classy stuff because once our friends and family arrived it was a joint consensus that everyone wanted to sit outside. Nate ran back to work, grabbed another table and we plucked a blanket on it for a tablecloth and called it good. Classy? I think not. Good to have everyone together in the sun? Definitely!
As tends to happen at our house, after dinner an impromptu jam session started up. I guess that’s what I get for being married to a guitar player. (Who am I kidding? I love it!)
Caitlin – Nate’s gorgeous sister! It’s so fun having her down here in Portland with us. We love being able to get together with her a lot and I love that I’ve been able to get to know her so well!
Jesse and Jason – Two of Nate’s old apartment mates. I don’t know why they wanted to spend time with us since they saw far too much of me when I basically lived at their apartment while Nate and I were dating. I did clean their kitchen a lot, though. Maybe that made up for it.
Leanna, Lara, and Wes – Leanna and Lara are sisters and Wes is Lara’s husband. They’re great friends and we love getting together with them!
Nate, John, and me – John’s my little brother. He goes to school in Vancouver so he’s just over the river from us. He’s pretty great! I like those two guys lots!
So, there you have it. A fun, sunny Easter dinner.
What did you do for Easter?
