Another Whirlwind Trip

May 15, 2012

This weekend Nate and I jumped in the car, once again, and drove far, far away to the land of Spokane.  We had such a great time seeing my side of the family, celebrating Mother’s Day, and spending time together.

Highlights of the weekend:

Nate and I took my littlest sisters, Dinah and Leah, to Riverfront Park for the afternoon.  While there, Peter got off work and joined us on our adventure.  Our activities included the big red wagon, garbage eating goat, cartwheel competition, carousel, and river watching.

Dinah’s a drama queen!

The next day, the women of the family went to a tea at my family’s church.  It was such a great event!  It was fun to be able to spend time with my mom, three sisters, and my future sister-in-law.  More information on this event will be coming later.

Right after the tea, we had to rush over to Dinah and Leah’s soccer game.  It was fun to watch and, best of all, they won.  Gardners are competitive so we’re fans of winning.  🙂

In a family of 12 kids, 2 parents, and (soon-to-be) 3 in-laws, there’s always a large cheering section for the girls!

Later that night, Peter, Megan, Nate and I went to a dance for Moody students.  Nope, none of us are attending nor have attended Moody.  We’re basically party crashers.  🙂

Beyond this, we had a great time celebrating Mother’s Day, going out to lunch, and playing tons of games.  It was so great to spend time with my family!
