Why I Make My Rental House a Home
I’m about 95% done unpacking my house! It’s such a wonderful feeling and I’m really starting to feel like I’m home. I love our adorable little rental house with its hard wood floors, quirky cabinets, and crazy neighbors.
When I think about the time we’re going to spend here I get a smile on my face. This is the house we’ll be living in when Caleb begins to walk. The is the house we’ll celebrate our little boy’s first birthday in. This is the house where Caleb will celebrate the first Christmas he doesn’t sleep all the way through. So many memories will be made here even though it’s a temporary step on the road to owning our own place.
I got the first room completely done and, shocker, it was the kitchen! Notice the fact that there’s no pantry, a ton of open cupboard space, and no vent above the stove… Oh the things we have to work with… We’ve already made many tasty meals in that kitchen and have enjoyed them in that dining room. We can’t wait to begin using those rooms to host guests and share our family and our love with others.
