On a Lazy Afternoon {Plus a Cold Brew Coffee Recipe}
Afternoons are my favorite time of day! Everything good happens in the afternoon. On days that Nate’s at work, Caleb and I love to get out of the house and play in the yard, head to play dates, or read on the couch. I love it even more when Nate’s home, though, and we can spend time together going on hikes, watching a show, or enjoying time at the children’s museum. The afternoon nap typically consists of me blogging or reading. All in all, it’s just a special time of day!
Regardless of what’s going on during the afternoon, you can typically find me with a coffee in my hand. Hot coffee, cold brew, lattes, or fraps – they’re all fair game. There’s just something about coffee that makes my heart happy… I think it might be an addiction. 😉
Coffee brings me joy for so many reasons – the smell invigorates my senses and stimulates my brain. The taste makes me take a step back from the daily to-do list and relax. My afternoon coffee jump starts me while also reminding me to breathe.
I really wanted to make my own cold brew now that summer is coming but all the cold brew coffee recipes I was coming across took a million steps and supplies that I didn’t own and didn’t really want to go out and buy. (Does anyone own a cheese cloth?) If you’re in my situation I’m happy to share with you the recipe I came up with to make amazing cold brew coffee! You’re welcome.
