Sunburns hurt like heck! Thankfully there are natural ways to sooth and cool your skin!!! Check out this awesome sunburn remedy!
Summertime.  Glorious summertime!  I love the sun shining on my skin.  I love wearing shorts, tank tops, and sandals.  I adore spending hours outside and not suffering through the dreary rain that is far too common here in the PNW.
While all that’s amazingly wonderful, you pale girls will understand my fear of that one dirty little word…  Sunburn.  My Scandinavian roots hate the sunshine and pretty much want me to suffer every time I set foot in it.  As I’ve grown older and wiser I’ve figured out ways of preventing sunburns (who would have thought wearing 50 SPF would actually help?) but inevitably once a year I get a horrid burn that causes me to curse my Norwegian ancestors.  Ok, that might be a little over dramatic…  But you get what I’m saying!
This year THE BURN happened on our trip to Mexico.  While it was nice to get it over with and out of the way in March, it was also incredibly painful and put a little bit of a damper on our trip.  I didn’t have my essential oils with me so I wasn’t able to make this amazing sunburn remedy but fortunately for you I’m going to share a way you can get relief from the horrible pain of a nasty sunburn.

Why Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil?

Out of all the oils out there, why are peppermint and tea tree oils the ones I use in my sunburn remedy?  The menthol properties of the peppermint oil and the purifying properties of the tea tree oil create a soothing and cooling effect on the damaged skin – a perfect relief while your body is healing and restoring itself.

Why Nature’s Truth Oil?

I love Nature’s Truth Oils for so many reasons!  I love that these 100% pure plant based oils can be used in a plethora of DIY projects – air fresheners, soaps, home remedies, massages, and so much more can be made from these oils!  The best thing, though, is how easy they are to find!  I just head to my local Walgreens and there these oils are, right in the vitamin aisle!  They have so many different oils and blends for easy purchasing!
