Comfort in Your Fall Wardrobe

Who else is in utter shock that it’s almost October?  It seems like the Fourth of July was days ago and yet we’re already into fall with its crazy, quirky weather and even crazier temperatures.
I don’t know about you, but I feel as though fall is the season of comfort.  All I want to do is curl up with a hot apple cider in front of a fire while cozied up in a warm plaid blanket.  I long to run through corn mazes and find the perfect pumpkin.  All those activities require the most comfiest of outfits.  I invited some of my blogger friends to join me in sharing how they find comfort in their fall wardrobes.  Join us and get some inspiration of your own.

To me, fall is about comfort. It’s the season of hot apple
cider and slouchy hats, pumpkin pie and leather boots, farm bought doughnuts
and plaid shirts. Plaid is one of my favorite fall trends because it is so easy
to wear.
A plaid shirt is perfect for coffee dates, hayrides, apple picking,
and other fall adventures that come your way.

The best part about fall fashion is the easiness of it.  Layers are always chic and cute, hats cover
up a bad hair day or a grown out cut and boots don’t require a perfect
pedicure!  I loved this dress during the
late summer and I am glad it transitions easily to fall as a layering
piece.
  It adds texture, color and
comfort to a pair of jeans and boots.

Fall fashion is all about comfort for me and if I’m not
comfortable in my clothes, I’m not doing it right. I find comfort in my fall
wardrobe by including staples like chunky sweaters, fleece-lined leggings and
lots of scarves to wrap up in!

Feeling comfortable during fall months always seems little
hard for me, considering I suddenly need more layers and warmer clothes than
during summer. My key to be comfortable when also trying to keep warm is
sticking with clothes that are my true fit.
My fall wardrobe has to feel as it
was made for me. Once I find few simple and well-fitting pieces the fall can
start because I know I will be comfortable and feel confident!

As a busy mom comfort is always key, but even more so in the
Fall with ever-changing and unpredictable temperatures. Comfortable layers are
pretty much essential to my daily wardrobe; a fun graphic tee, a long-sleeved
shirt or cardigan thrown over, and maybe top it off with a scarf to help
accessorize and add extra warmth if needed. Not only is layering great from a
comfort stand-point, but it also helps me have fun with my outfit and feel more
put together.

I love to layer, layer, layer in the fall. I am a
chronically cold person so wearing lots of layers and knits keeps me cozy and
warm, especially as the weather gets cooler. I also love that fall lends itself
well to flat boots, loafers, and tennis shoes, so my feet aren’t suffering
either. The more pajama and blanket-like my clothes are in the fall-the better!

Fall beckons us to comfort! It calls us to layer up and curl
up in something warm…and preferably new! 😀 BUT, what if you could take your
existing favorite pieces and just tweak the accessories for a year round
look?  That’s what I’m attempting to do
with this post.  Transition 1 dress into
the fall and back again, just by using what’s already in most of our
closets.  Why not save a little cash and
let the “comfort” that we crave leak over into our bank accounts too 😉

Growing up in Southern California, fall weather was pretty
much nonexistent. Now that I live all over the country, I’ve had to learn
quickly how to stay warm and stay comfortable while traveling. I love my basics
– especially in the cooler months and having a capsule wardrobe ensures that
all my clothes are not only comfortable, but they are also clothes that I feel
fantastic in. When it comes to comfort though, shoes are my top priority and,
in the fall, when I’m not wearing socks with my Birkenstocks, you’ll find me in
my favorite sneakers or leather booties during my cooler weather adventures.

I’m a summer lover (mostly because I get cold super easily),
so I always welcome fall with mixed feelings. During the transition from warmer
to cooler weather, I maintain comfort by wearing clothes that can be easily
layered
– cozy sweaters, for example, that aren’t so thick that I can’t throw
an addition jacket on over them while also being cool enough that I won’t
overheat if the weather suddenly takes a turn for the warmer (as it is known to
do in the South.) Another thing that helps me stay happy and comfortable during
the transition to fall is carrying some summery colors in to my fall wardrobe.
It’ll be a little while before you find me embracing deep fall colors; the
summer colors just make me so happy.

Fall fashion has always held a special place in my heart
because I love to layer. Fall is one of those seasons where it could be 40
degrees in the morning and 87 by noon! For this reason I love to tie a flannel around my waist or a scarf around my neck. It if gets too hot you can always
take them off and if it gets a bit chilly they’re there for added warmth! The layers
add dimension and style to your outfit, but are also extremely practical.
Now
that’s what I call a win-win!

I think fall is the epitome of comfortable fashion! It’s
perfect for oversized sweaters and leggings and cute boots!
Layers are another
key fall fashion element that can keep you comfortable. This scarf is a great
piece because the outfit looks complete without it, but if I’m outside I definitely
need it and it adds a great pop to an otherwise neutral outfit.

Fall is a crazy season – especially in the Pacific Northwest.  One moment it’s 89 degrees and sunny and the next it’s 55 degrees and rainy.  There’s no knowing what you’re supposed to be wearing from one moment to the next.  I stay comfortable by making sure I’m ready for whatever the day throws at me.  If I’m wearing a t-shirt, I’m always sure to have a cardigan on hand.  If I’m wearing a skirt, I ensure that leggings are easily accessable.  If I’m wearing a sweatshirt, I make sure the shirt underneath is cute because, chances are, I’m going to have to take the sweatshirt off at some point.

As fall approaches, I can’t help to go back to my favorite
outfit that is perfect for when I’m pregnant or not. Thus the perfect fall
outfit that helps me maintain comfort include large sweaters and scarfs.
When I
was pregnant, I discovered men’s sweaters at the thrift store. I found a few in
excellent condition that I altered to fit me and to the one in this picture I
added some leather detail to update it to fit me. The crocheted neutral colored
scarf goes with any sweater and is super warm and comfortable, even for he
warmer winters of the Pacific Northwest.

I am all about chic comfort in the fall. No one said you
have to sacrifice fashion for comfort.
Pairing a large oversized sweater over
some leggings screams comfortable and is my go to for fall. By adding some chic
accessories like a hat, statement necklace, or trending boots, I am not only
comfortable, but also confidently ready to face the fall weather with a smile!

I think Fall is the comfiest season of all! I love that you
don’t have to pack on the layers to stay warm like Winter. To me it’s all about
accessories in the form of hats, scarves, cardigans, tights and boots! I always
invest in a good, comfortable pair of knee high boots because I wear them all
season long.

All my favorite fall outfits contain some variation of a
sweater. I can’t get enough of them! Sweaters are warm, cozy, and the perfect way
to maintain both comfort and style when temperatures start to drop.

I looooove fall style (to put it mildly). The colors; the
cozy styles; the layers; the shoes – I love it all! I am becoming more of a
dress person, especially in my second pregnancy, so I’m loving this cozy dress
from Lularoe
(thanks Cortney Hughes!). Since I’m usually chilly, leggings and a
denim jacket make for nice layers, even for a summery dress.

I’m all about comfortable clothes year-round! In the fall, I
practically live in my jeggings, although I’m also fond of regular jeans and
regular leggings.
As a person who gets cold easily, but also hot easily, layers
are my friend. I often wear a loose top over a fitted tank or tee with a scarf
and cardigan. If I need to strip down to just my tank, I’m still appropriately
dressed!

In my opinion, fall style is all about coziness and texture.
I love have a great dress I can throw on with my favorite booties for a day
out, it’s easy to throw a denim or cargo jacket over a dress when the weather
cools. Browns, Creams, and Blues have been my go-to colors so far for the
season. It’s great to find colors and textures you love to help build your
wardrobe for the season.

To stay comfy in fall, leggings are always a win. They look
flattering and can be worn with flats, ankle booties, or boots. My utility vest
has become a staple piece for me, too, as it adds a little structure to some
flowy tops!

For fall, I love sticking to the basics. For instance, you
can never go wrong with a cute, casual plaid shirt. Plaid is the essence of
fall and is not only comfy, but super versatile in terms of styling!
I maintain
comfort through my fall wardrobe by wearing pieces that I feel myself in! A
pair of skinny jeans with converse or ankle booties, a messy side braid, and a
warm latte in hand – that definitely does the trick for me!

When it comes to fashion, regardless of the season, comfort
always comes first.  A shift dress is the
ultimate comfy, but still dressy (and work appropriate) outfit.
Then to kick it up a notch and
“fall-ify” it, I add a fall staple, like a vest, to create an outfit
perfect for any fall activity (fall festive, teaching kiddos or a date night).

Fall wardrobes don’t have to be stressful or body hugging.
The best thing about this colder weather is the ability to layer with
ultra-soft fabrics.
In this pic, I chose a textured vest that was both soft and
fashion forward. The tunic is also oversized and doesn’t cling to my body. Pair
that with a great pair stretchy jeggings and voila! A comfortable, fashionable
Fall look!

I love to be comfortable in the fall. Something about the
weather getting cooler and the leaves changing makes me want to curl up on a
cozy, oversized sweater.
Fall also means football which means lazy Saturdays
and Sundays in lounge wear representing my teams. Comfort is key in this
season!

I love fall fashion because it’s all about accessorizing.
Scarves, boots, hats, vests, you get to pull out all the stops and have fun
with pattern mixing! Fall fashion is also more laid back. The silhouettes are
loose and a perfect outfit is a boho styled dress, booties and floppy hat.
This
fall I’m loving anything in mustard yellow, burgundy and olive, especially if
it’s something in a floral pattern that laces up!
