Who else is in utter shock that it’s almost October? It seems like the Fourth of July was days ago and yet we’re already into fall with its crazy, quirky weather and even crazier temperatures.
I don’t know about you, but I feel as though fall is the season of comfort. All I want to do is curl up with a hot apple cider in front of a fire while cozied up in a warm plaid blanket. I long to run through corn mazes and find the perfect pumpkin. All those activities require the most comfiest of outfits. I invited some of my blogger friends to join me in sharing how they find comfort in their fall mom wardrobes. Join us and get some inspiration of your own.

The best part about fall fashion is the easiness of it. Layers are always chic and cute, hats cover up a bad hair day or a grown out cut and boots don’t require a perfect pedicure! I loved this dress during the late summer and I am glad it transitions easily to fall as a layering piece. It adds texture, color and comfort to a pair of jeans and boots.

Fall fashion is all about comfort for me and if I’m not comfortable in my clothes, I’m not doing it right. I find comfort in my fall wardrobe by including staples like chunky sweaters, fleece-lined leggings and lots of scarves to wrap up in!

As a busy mom comfort is always key, but even more so in the Fall with ever-changing and unpredictable temperatures. Comfortable layers are pretty much essential to my daily wardrobe; a fun graphic tee, a long-sleeved shirt or cardigan thrown over, and maybe top it off with a scarf to help accessorize and add extra warmth if needed. Not only is layering great from a comfort stand-point, but it also helps me have fun with my outfit and feel more put together.

Growing up in Southern California, fall weather was pretty much nonexistent. Now that I live all over the country, I’ve had to learn quickly how to stay warm and stay comfortable while traveling. I love my basics – especially in the cooler months and having a capsule wardrobe ensures that all my clothes are not only comfortable, but they are also clothes that I feel fantastic in. When it comes to comfort though, shoes are my top priority and, in the fall, when I’m not wearing socks with my Birkenstocks, you’ll find me in my favorite sneakers or leather booties during my cooler weather adventures.

I’m a summer lover (mostly because I get cold super easily), so I always welcome fall with mixed feelings. During the transition from warmer to cooler weather, I maintain comfort by wearing clothes that can be easily layered – cozy sweaters, for example, that aren’t so thick that I can’t throw an addition jacket on over them while also being cool enough that I won’t overheat if the weather suddenly takes a turn for the warmer (as it is known to do in the South.) Another thing that helps me stay happy and comfortable during the transition to fall is carrying some summery colors in to my fall wardrobe. It’ll be a little while before you find me embracing deep fall colors; the summer colors just make me so happy.

Fall is a crazy season – especially in the Pacific Northwest. One moment it’s 89 degrees and sunny and the next it’s 55 degrees and rainy. There’s no knowing what you’re supposed to be wearing from one moment to the next. I stay comfortable by making sure I’m ready for whatever the day throws at me. If I’m wearing a t-shirt, I’m always sure to have a cardigan on hand. If I’m wearing a skirt, I ensure that leggings are easily accessable. If I’m wearing a sweatshirt, I make sure the shirt underneath is cute because, chances are, I’m going to have to take the sweatshirt off at some point.

As fall approaches, I can’t help to go back to my favorite outfit that is perfect for when I’m pregnant or not. Thus the perfect fall outfit that helps me maintain comfort include large sweaters and scarfs. When I was pregnant, I discovered men’s sweaters at the thrift store. I found a few in excellent condition that I altered to fit me and to the one in this picture I added some leather detail to update it to fit me. The crocheted neutral colored scarf goes with any sweater and is super warm and comfortable, even for the warmer winters of the Pacific Northwest.

I am all about chic comfort in the fall. No one said you have to sacrifice fashion for comfort. Pairing a large oversized sweater over some leggings screams comfortable and is my go to for fall. By adding some chic accessories like a hat, statement necklace, or trending boots, I am not only comfortable, but also confidently ready to face the fall weather with a smile!

I think Fall is the comfiest season of all! I love that you don’t have to pack on the layers to stay warm like Winter. To me it’s all about accessories in the form of hats, scarves, cardigans, tights and boots! I always invest in a good, comfortable pair of knee high boots because I wear them all season long.

What gets more comfortable than a “flowy” dress with pockets and a big chunky blanket scarf?
Jessy from Current Bliss
For fall, I love sticking to the basics. For instance, you can never go wrong with a cute, casual plaid shirt. Plaid is the essence of fall and is not only comfy, but super versatile in terms of styling! I maintain comfort through my fall wardrobe by wearing pieces that I feel myself in! A pair of skinny jeans with converse or ankle booties, a messy side braid, and a warm latte in hand – that definitely does the trick for me!

I love fall fashion because it’s all about accessorizing. Scarves, boots, hats, vests, you get to pull out all the stops and have fun with pattern mixing! Fall fashion is also more laid back. The silhouettes are loose and a perfect outfit is a boho styled dress, booties and floppy hat. This fall I’m loving anything in mustard yellow, burgundy and olive, especially if it’s something in a floral pattern that laces up!
