Marshmallow Shamrock Stamping

There are tons of St. Patrick’s Day ideas out there so how do you find a St. Patrick’s Day craft for toddlers?  You have to try this marshmallow shamrock stamping!

Another holiday, another toddler craft!  That’s how we roll in the Kellogg household!  I thought a lot about St. Patrick’s Day ideas and, since we haven’t painted in a while, I figured it was time to whip out the super awesome amazing completely washable paint that I love so much and let Caleb make a mess again.  Marshmallow shamrock stamping is the perfect St. Patrick’s Day craft for toddlers!

Since St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to create little shamrocks with Caleb using marshmallow stamps. First I, of course, had to explain to Caleb that these marshmallows were not for eating and he’d get to eat some after we were done painting. Then I showed him how to dip the marshmallow in the paint and stamp it on the paper.

Thankfully he figured out quickly how fun stamping was! What he didn’t figure out was the fact that we were trying to create shamrocks… You know, for St. Patrick’s Day. Since he was having fun stamping all over his piece of paper, I didn’t push the shamrock shapes… I just made sure he didn’t stamp on my paper so I could get cute shamrocks. 😉

I’m sure your little one would have a blast stamping it up for the coming holiday!

Marshmallow Shamrock Stamping

Supplies Needed

• Green Washable Paint
• White Paper
• Marshmallows

Instructions

1. Dip flat end of marshmallow in the paint.
2. Stamp paint in shamrock shape (or all over the paper if you’re a toddler)
3. Draw a little stem for each shamrock
