When we bought our house we knew it would take time and money to fix up! All the walls were and ugly yellowish-whiteish-bleh color, the carpet was burnt orange, there was (and still is) wood paneling in places, and the bathrooms and kitchen need a complete overhaul. With all that, though, we saw that the bones were good and we knew we were able to make the cosmetic changes necessary.
Ironically, the first room that has the first stage finished is one of the last rooms we began working on. Josiah’s room is the first finished and I love the way it turned out. (Stage two will be to replace all the trim and doors with white ones but that’s coming down the road a ways…)
I absolutely adore this nursery. It’s wonderful to have a place for my little man that is his own – even though we did reuse a lot of the decor from Caleb’s nursery
. It’s such a special place to rock my son to sleep, read books to my two little men, and watch Caleb rock away on the rocking horse while I change his brother’s diaper. This room won’t always be a nursery as my guys grow up but, for now, it’s a special place for a special baby boy.
