The Anatomy of the Perfect Man’s Stocking

As Christmas comes closer and closer, I’ve realized, once again, that I have no idea what to get Nate to put in his stocking! Does anyone else have this problem? I feel like women are so easy to shop for. Little knick-knacks are easy to pick up at the Target dollar spot or our favorite makeup counter but men… That’s another story! It’s ridiculous!
Instead of going through the same frustration year after year, this time around I decided to dig in and figure out what makes up the perfect man’s stocking. In coming years I’ll just have to pull out this list, change up the items in each category, and – presto- a stocking any man would love!
The Tummy Fillers
I’m adding a Candy Cane and Beef Jerky
We start the stocking out simply with a candy cane and some beef jerky. I believe that everyone needs a candy cane in their stocking and men are no different. Stick one in and they’ll be enjoying the sweet, peppermint-y treat on Christmas morning. Combine that with beef jerky and your man will be held over until breakfast!

The Goofy Gifts
I’m adding a Beard Beanie and Silly Socks
Every man needs something silly in his stocking. A beard beanie is perfect for Nate since he can’t grow a beard for the life of him! Silly socks are also fun to throw in! Caleb loved picking the socks we gave Nate last year and he’s already prepared to do it again!

The Hobby Gifts
I’m adding Bagged Coffee and a Wind Resistant Lighter
Hobbies are wonderful things and hopefully your man has a few. Nate loves a good brew of coffee so obviously beans are being added to his stocking. A wind resistant lighter is perfect for any guy… I mean, really, what guy doesn’t like fire?

The Fancy Healthcare Gifts
I’m adding a Bamboo Toothbrush and Shutran Body Wash
We’re working to make out house more toxin free so I’m adding some great healthcare products to Nate’s stocking. Shutran body wash smells AMAZING so it’s pretty much a gift for me too! A bamboo toothbrush is so much better for the environment and looks pretty manly, if I do say so myself!

The Pampering Gifts
I’m adding Massage Balls
We all get sore, aching muscles, and massage balls are so great for relieving those. I want to pamper Nate a little and get him some… He may even talk me into giving him a massage with them too… Especially if he’s wearing the Shutran body wash. 😉

The Big Gift
I’m adding a JORD Watch
I believe every stocking needs a big gift to go in it! Nate doesn’t have a watch so, this year, the big gift is a beautiful JORD wooden watch! (Yes, Nate did get to wear it for the pictures…) This watch is incredibly classy and unique given that it’s not made of metal or fabric like pretty much every other watch is. There are so many amazing men’s watches to choose from – the sleek, no fuss ones are more Nate’s style but there are some fantastic watches with more bells and whistles if that’s your style!
You don’t need to get jealous, ladies, JORD has some beautiful wooden watches for us too! I love how dainty and light the watches look, and, since they’re made of wood, they aren’t heavy on our wrists! #winning I’m going to be adding a JORD watch to my wish list in the future. It will be so fun to wear it on date nights – you know, when I don’t have a baby and toddler crawling all over me. 😉
