Quick Tips for Spring Cleaning
This post is sponsored by Clorox®, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
Spring has finally sprung here in the Pacific Northwest and, while that still means rain a lot of the time, it also means that we’re having some days here and there of fantastic weather. That weather, my friends, is why we live in such a rainy environment. There’s something about wonderful spring weather that just makes me want to whip out all my cleaning tools and spiff up my home. The urge to spring clean is real! While I’m all about the spring cleaning these days, I’m also a mom of littles who doesn’t have all the time on my hands. I’ve learned through the years some awesome quick tips for spring cleaning!
Quick Tips for Spring Cleaning
Get Your Supplies Ready Ahead of Time
First things first, make sure you have all your supplies ready to go! Get your brooms, mops, dusters, wipes, sprays… All the things! If you need to pick up some new supplies, head to your nearest store before starting things up. Nothing worse than having a room just about clean and then realize you don’t have your Clorox wipes on hand! I love my Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes with Ultra Strength Blue Fibers (I found them at Walmart since the store recently started carrying them) for the grease, crumbs and dirt, and stuck on messes all over my home!

Work from Top to Bottom
It’s key that you start at the top of a room and work your way down. It makes sense because gravity pulls gunk and grime down. If you’re dusting your window blinds, chances are that the dust will land on your carpet. If you’ve already vacuumed you’re just going to have to do it again and that’s not working smarter! Let’s all say it together – higher surfaces first!
Tackle One Area at a Time
Don’t feel like you have to clean your whole house in one fell swoop! Choose a room and focus there first and then move onto the next room! Do what you have time for and leave the next room for another day. I tend to like working on my most visible rooms like the living room and kitchen first. I then move onto less trafficked rooms like the bathroom and dining room. Finally I do the rooms visitors don’t typically see like the bedrooms. Gotta put on a good face for your guests, right? 😉
Use a Checklist
I am all about the checklists! They seriously help when it comes to making sure I’m getting everything done! I put together printable deep cleaning checklist cards for you that are perfect for spring cleaning! I filled in everything you should need to do in each room and left blank spaces for you to fill in any extras! I gotcha!
